Jasmine Slovak

 E komo mai! Welcome!

Hoʻomaka Design & Consulting (HDC) is founded by Jasmine Slovak, our principal consultant.

HDC is a bespoke studio of various independent professionals that work with each other on specific projects for impact-driven or like-minded organizations.

Jasmine Slovak was born and raised in Maunalua (aka Hawaiʻi Kai) on the island of Oʻahu. She is a multi-ethnic, woman of color, a political progressive, and a Hawaiian patriot. If youʻd like to learn more about her, you can visit her main page and learn more about her motivations using the navigation at the top of this page.

Jasmineʻs vision for Hoʻomaka Design & Consulting is to provide out-of-the-box, flexible talent solutions for organizations trying to navigate transition or growing pains in Hawaiʻi.

She is an advocate for corporate ferocity and discipline in approaching impact goals for social, environmental, and economic change organizations.

Hoʻomaka Design and Consulting offers a “third-choice.” Rather than taking on the high annual cost of an expert manager or director, or rather than hiring a junior, early career associate without any working knowledge (or social wisdom) at a low cost but creates hidden taxes to capacity and productivity— hire local consultants and specialized services to be thought-partners and external team-members in bridging the gap.

Here are some of the professionals we partnered with in the past.

Warren Daubert @ Daubert Design, Kenji Lee @ Double Cut Studios, Melanie Tjeong @ The Honolulu City Club,

Here are some of the clients we worked with.

The Box Jelly Coworking Space / Hawaiʻi Alliance for Progressive Action (HAPA) / Friends of Gary Gill / Vote for Fern, Mālama Maunalua / People Strategies Hawaiʻi / Tori Richard / Kahala / Shaka Tea Beverages / Duty-Free Hawaiʻi

Letʻs think out loud about it together.
